Chris Hemsworth bakes adorable dinosaur cake for daughter India's 4th birthday

Okay, first things first: What kind of bakery gets a call from Chris Hemsworth and says, "Yeah, nope, we don't have time to fit you in today"?

Yes, that really happened — at least according to the 32-year-old movie star's latest Instagram post. It depicts an endearingly amateur-looking cake, coupled with the caption: "What happens when the bakery says they don't have time to make your daughter a birthday cake? You get involved and smash one out yourself! I call it 'La TRex al la chocolate.'"

This reporter isn't certain if bakeries have interns. But if they do ... come ON, bakery intern.

As for our thoughts on La TRex? Le sigh. Hemsworth, you've captured our hearts again. Luckily for the actor's soon-to-be 4-year-old daughter, India, what this cake is lacking in professionalism, it probably makes up for in deliciousness. I mean, we can't taste it through the photo or anything, but mint green frosting usually lives up to expectations.

And kudos to Hemsworth for locking in the details. As any at-home baker working with branded chocolate knows, the key to a not-that-terrible-looking cake is to flip the M&M's upside-down so that the logo doesn't detract from the rest of the masterpiece.

To make matters even better, Hemsworth's wife, Elsa Pataky, posted her own version of the day's events to her Instagram, including a photo of a very muscle-y Hemsworth working on his masterpiece.

Our rating: five star-shaped cookie cutters. Happy birthday, little India!
