Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford discuss a new trend on TODAY: Some parents are letting their kids set up registries for birthday gifts.
"Ridiculous," Hoda scoffed. "When it's your birthday and you're a young kid, you should just be grateful for what everyone brings you."
But Kathie Lee could see another side to the issue. "I have given gifts to children on their birthdays, and they say, 'Oh, I have three of those.'"
