For new mom Alyssa Milano, what started as a "difficult" breastfeeding experience on an airplane turned into an even bumpier ride when her breast milk was then confiscated at the airport.

Hours after sharing on Twitter that "pumping on a plane is difficult," the 42-year-old actress tweeted a series of updates venting about what happened when she landed in London on Thursday, where airport security took 10 ounces of breast milk that she was carrying.

The mom of two, who welcomed daughter Elizabella in September, added that she was told she could only bring the milk with her if her baby was with her too — which made little sense to the actress.

For its part, Heathrow tweeted a response to Milano, explaining that its staff was simply enforcing the airport's carry-on policy.

Milano had more to say about the experience Thursday night, in a statement to People.

"Every ounce of milk I’m able to produce for my child is nothing short of a miracle and to watch that milk be thrown away without any regard for my baby, was heartbreaking," she said.
