It looks like the viral dance-off may have found its real winner.

When usher Shannon Sailes and 11-year-old Detroit Pistons fan Antwain Alexander appeared on TODAY to collect the Orange Room Award for best digital dance-off, it was Alexander who walked away with the only trophy.

"Your family did real good with you. You're an inspiration to me, all the kids your age and adults. I admire you," Sailes said to Alexander as he presented him with the award.

"You make the city of Flint, your hometown, and Detroit look good. People around the world admire you, I know I do."

Sailes was featured on TODAY in April after video of him from the Piston's "Dance Cam" earned thousands of views on YouTube. Sailes met his match on that same "Dance Cam" in November when he found himself in the midst of a dance-off with Alexander.

Their video has received more than eight million hits on YouTube since it was posted last month. The duo earned nearly 60 percent of the TODAY vote despite facing heavy-hitting nominees, including "The Fox (What Does the Fox Say)" singers Ylvis. ——
