When Apple kicks off its latest event on Tuesday, it's expected to debut new devices — including a thinner iPad.
Apple enthusiasts are predicting the new iPad would be an improvement on the current iPad mini, and the company's likely hoping that rolling out a new tablet will return them to the top of what is now a very crowded field.
Last month, the long-dominant iPad suffered something of a blow, as more Android devices were sold than iPads in the world — such as those made by Samsung, Amazon, Asus and others.
