Jane Lynch goes Behind the Tweet: How my family won holiday song battle

Celebrities now have a whole new reason to be careful of what they tweet — TODAY just might rummage through their social past, asking them to back up their funny, cryptic or just downright strange tweets.

Jane Lynch stopped by TODAY this week to talk about her gig ushering in 2014 with Carson on "NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly," but not before dropping by the Orange Room to give us the scoop on her musical "feud" with singer Richard Marx.

Marx had tweeted a link to a track he produced of his sons singing "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)" and here was Lynch's response:
