Sergio Garcia’s drive on the third hole at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational Sunday could have been the most costly of his career — literally.
Garcia's errant shot sailed to the left of the fairway, striking a woman's engagement ring and knocking the diamond into the grass.
When a quick search didn't turn up any results, Garcia signed a ball for the woman and requested her information so he could replace the ring.
"This could be the most expensive tee shot of all time," CBS commentator David Feherty joked of the incident.
Luckily for the woman (and Garcia), the diamond was eventually found in the grass with the help of spectators.
