Zsa Zsa Gabor went home from a hospital on Wednesday, four weeks after undergoing hip-replacement surgery and received the kind of paparazzi treatment reserved for starlets a quarter of her age. The Hungarian-born actress, who is in her 90s, was ferried by ambulance to her Bel Air home in a four-vehicle convoy. As the driver waited for the gates to open, a half-dozen photographers swarmed the ambulance, randomly snapping the interior. A policeman warned them not to block the way. Gabor fell out of bed on July 17 while reaching to answer her telephone as she watched the TV game show "The Price is Right." She received a new hip two days later, but her discharge was delayed after she reportedly went into shock last weekend. Gabor is the last of the three glamorous Gabor sisters, all of whom had careers in show business. She starred in such films as "Moulin Rouge," "Lili" and "Touch of Evil." She is probably best known for slapping a Beverly Hills police officer in 1989, for which she was sentenced to three days in jail.
