With the presidential election quickly approaching, all eyes are on the White House.

And while countless viewings of “House of Cards,” “Veep” and “The West Wing” have given viewers a closer — albeit dramatized — view of what goes on at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., the building’s rich history needs no embellishment.

Earlier this year, TODAY got an exclusive tour of some of the most historically important areas of the White House, including the Blue Room, where President Barack Obama was sworn in for his second term in 2013, and the Entrance Hall, where Princess Diana and John Travolta shared their famous dance.
