Chester Jackson is a hero in Columbus, Georgia. He owns a small auto body shop there, but when he isn't fixing cars, he's building bikes every day that he gives away to needy kids.
So it was particularly heartless crime when thieves stole bikes Jackson intended for those kids. "It's a travesty to the community," Sgt. Joe Weatherford of the local police told Rossen Reports. "For someone to enter his business and take these bikes is a terrible thing, and we intend to find the suspect."
Wednesday on TODAY, national investigative correspondent Jeff Rossen helped hundreds of members of Chester's community thank him for his good works — and surprise 50 deserving kids.
