“I'm conflicted on that,” Shellie told Matt. “I believe the evidence, but this revelation in my life has really helped me take the blinders off and start to see things differently.”

2. Stephanie Smith is on a quest to make her boyfriend 300 sandwiches – in exchange for an engagement ring. And she’s telling her critics to lighten up.

“If he wasn’t the kind of guy that was worth one sandwich, I wouldn’t be making 300 sandwiches," she told Matt and Savannah. "It’s supposed to be just lighthearted."

3. As part of our #BornTODAY week, focused on all-things babies, Jenna Bush Hager reported on a (re)growing trend: home births. She talked to moms, like singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette, who decided to have their children at home instead of a hospital.

“The experience was beyond pain,” she said. “It was a transcendental experience. I just went to this whole other world. I basically had to be the little soldier that I am and really focus on this new beautiful creature coming out of me.”

4. Speaking of controversial mommy topics: Jenna Wolfe reported on breast-feeding in public, and tried it out undercover with her own 1-month-old daughter, Harper. While her experience was mostly positive, she got the chance to speak with other moms about some of the not-so-nice reactions they received while feeding their babies in public.

5. What was your first car?

Carson, Natalie, Savannah, Matt and Al shared details about their first rides with viewers this morning. Al’s? A 1963 Dodge Dart with a push-button automatic transmission. (He mowed his neighbor’s lawn in high school, and his neighbor gave him the car as a thank you!)
