Shellie Zimmerman speaks out, Jenna Wolfe breast-feeds in public and Stephanie Smith makes her boyfriend sandwiches – for a ring.

1. In the midst of divorce proceedings against husband George Zimmerman, Shellie Zimmerman said she has doubts about what really happened in the shooting death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin last year, she told Matt Lauer in an exclusive interview.

“I'm conflicted on that,” Shellie told Matt. “I believe the evidence, but this revelation in my life has really helped me take the blinders off and start to see things differently.”

Video: In an exclusive interview, George Zimmerman’s estranged wife, Shellie, tells TODAY’s Matt Lauer that “I have doubts but I also believe the evidence” presented in the trial for the shooting of Trayvon Martin. She also says that she regrets not pressing charges after a Sept. 9 private dispute with her husband.

2. Stephanie Smith is on a quest to make her boyfriend 300 sandwiches – in exchange for an engagement ring. And she’s telling her critics to lighten up.

“If he wasn’t the kind of guy that was worth one sandwich, I wouldn’t be making 300 sandwiches," she told Matt and Savannah. "It’s supposed to be just lighthearted."

Video: After a New York Post article detailed Stephanie Smith’s goal of making 300 sandwiches for her husband-to-be, some online crictics said she was setting back women’s rights. But Smith tells TODAY the project was supposed to be fun and that the sandwich-making is a collaborative effortbetween her and her fiancé.

3. As part of our #BornTODAY week, focused on all-things babies, Jenna Bush Hager reported on a (re)growing trend: home births. She talked to moms, like singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette, who decided to have their children at home instead of a hospital.

“The experience was beyond pain,” she said. “It was a transcendental experience. I just went to this whole other world. I basically had to be the little soldier that I am and really focus on this new beautiful creature coming out of me.”

Video: TODAY’s Jenna Bush Hager talks to a couple who wanted a natural birth for their son and decided to have the birth at home with a midwife. “I want the peace of it all,” mom Crystal Carscadden says.

4. Speaking of controversial mommy topics: Jenna Wolfe reported on breast-feeding in public, and tried it out undercover with her own 1-month-old daughter, Harper. While her experience was mostly positive, she got the chance to speak with other moms about some of the not-so-nice reactions they received while feeding their babies in public.

Video: To see what the reaction would be, Weekend TODAY’s Jenna Wolfe decided to try breast-feeding her 1-month old girl, Harper, in public. She also talked to some mothers who are unable to breast-feed feed their babies due to allergies.

5. What was your first car?

Carson, Natalie, Savannah, Matt and Al shared details about their first rides with viewers this morning. Al’s? A 1963 Dodge Dart with a push-button automatic transmission. (He mowed his neighbor’s lawn in high school, and his neighbor gave him the car as a thank you!)

Video: In the wake of Volkswagen discontinuing its classic van, the TODAY anchors recalls their first sets of wheels and poke fun at Carson Daly’s first vanity plate: “WHTEICE.”
