Taylor Swift is never too busy to meet with the fans who need her the most. This past weekend, the "Red"  singer stopped by a hospital in Omaha, Neb., to visit a young cancer patient who scored some plum one-on-one time with the Grammy winner.

According to the Omaha World-Herald, Swift met with 10-year-old Lauren Hacker early Saturday afternoon at Omaha's Children's Hospital & Medical Center.

In the photo, Swift can be seeing hugging the beaming fifth grader, who suffers from acute myelocytic leukemia, as they posed next to a keyboard.

The get-together was reportedly set up after Lauren's loved ones created a YouTube video message to Swift titled "Come See Lauren Please, Taylor!" in which the singer's hit "You Belong With Me" was tweaked into a musical message asking the singer to visit her ailing fan.

Lauren's parents then managed to set up a meeting after reaching out to the 23-year-old singer's camp. The young fan's father, Phil Hacker, later chronicled the encounter on Lauren's Caring Bridge blog.

"Taylor Swift stopped by Lauren's room at the hospital around 1 p.m. in the afternoon," he wrote. She spent about an hour chatting with Lauren...Lauren got in on the act and played a song on the electronic piano keyboard that she got for her birthday."

He also added that "Taylor shared stories from her childhood as she was getting her start as an entertainer...Just before she had to leave, Taylor got out a bag of goodies for Lauren and provided autographs on notebooks, photographs and guitar picks...It was a great afternoon for everyone and I'm sure Lauren will remember it for many years to come."

We don't doubt that one bit.

Swift's "Red" tour kicks off in Omaha on Wednesday and will be making pit stops in 47 North American cities before coming to a close on Sept. 21 in Nashville.
