Socks appeal: Bush Sr. library makes colorful 89th birthday request
Finally: A reason to delve into the depths of your sock drawer!
In honor of former President George H. W. Bush’s 89th birthday on Wednesday, June 12, the George Bush Presidential Library Foundation has asked folks to snap a picture of their favorite colorful socks and post them online.
Birthday well wishers can upload photos of their covered tootsies via Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #41s89th. The foundation will forward the best and brightest along to the president, who's celebrating in Kennebunkport, Maine, with his family.
