A group of European soccer fans were throwing things at one another on Sunday — except, in this case, it was a beautiful thing.

During a game between the Dutch teams ADO Den Haag and Feyenoord FC, a large group of visiting fans sitting in the upper deck showed their support in a heartwarming way for the young Feyenoord FC fans from a children's hospital sitting in the seats below them.

The visiting fans had been encouraged to bring stuffed animals for the children, and, in a coordinated moment, the fans showered the kids from Sophia Children's Hospital in Rotterdam with the hundreds of fluffy friends, according to ESPN.

"Our mailbox is flowing full of compliments and thanks to the fans of Ado Den Haag," the hospital wrote on its Facebook page after the game.

The children could also smile about their favorite team, as Feyenoord FC picked up a 3-1 win on its home field.
