Good things do come to those who wait!
A 93-year-old Indian restaurant owner whose fascination with the royals is legendary in Mumbai finally got to meet Prince William and Duchess Kate during the couple’s visit to his country.
Boman Kohinoor, who calls himself “the royal family’s fan No. 1,” received a last-minute invitation Sunday to meet with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The three met inside the couple's room at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel before the royals left to attend a charity gala.

After learning about Prince William and Duchess Kate’s plan to visit India, Kohinoor invited the royal couple to pay him a visit at his restaurant. A video created by Conde Nast along with a social media campaign, #WillKatMeetMe, spread quickly about his request.
Kohinoor’s restaurant, Britannia & Co., features life-sized cutouts of the couple, as well as an oversized portrait of Queen Elizabeth. Among his prized possessions are a letter and photos sent by the queen in response to a note he sent inviting her to visit Mumbai and his restaurant.
Kohinoor now can add more photos to his collection: One of himself meeting with the beaming royal couple!
