Every day, Bud Caldwell, 82, walks to the bench that he dedicated to his late wife, Betty, and leaves her one penny and one daisy in honor of their favorite songs, "Pennies from Heaven" and "Daisy a Day."

The Wisconsin couple were together for almost 56 years, according to local CBS station WDJT, and rain or shine, Caldwell visits the bench decorated with Betty's picture to tell her about his day.

But after a recent snowfall, Caldwell wasn't able to take the path to talk to his beloved wife, who passed away two years ago. When two park workers noticed that he was not making his daily walk, they stepped in to help.

Jerrod Ebert and Kevin Schultz grabbed shovels and cleared the walk, making sure Caldwell's path to the bench stays clear.

"Two young men did such a nice thing for one old man," Caldwell told WDJT.
