With virtually all of his competition in reruns on Tuesday night, “The Tonight Show’s” Jay Leno landed the very first late-night jabs at the controversial Casey Anthony verdict.
While talking about the current heat wave crossing the country, Leno joked that “it was so hot, people were as delirious and incoherent as a Florida jury!”
As the jokes went on, the host continued to take aim at the jurors.
"Most people thought she was guilty,” Leno said. “Even the prosecution thought it was a slam dunk. You know what I think happened here? Apparently what happened was, the O.J. jury retired and moved to Florida. This is their first time back."
