Kate Winslet gave birth to her third child on Dec. 7, but despite his father being Ned Rocknroll, the baby boy won't share that musical surname. Winslet told the UK edition of Glamour magazine that her son, whose first name is Bear, was always going to be a Winslet.

"We haven't ever really had that conversation; it was always going to have my name," she says in the February issue of the magazine. "(Children) Mia and Joe have (Winslet) as part of their name, so it would be weird if this baby didn't. Of course we're not going to call it RocknRoll. People might judge all they like, but I'm a (expletive) grown-up."

Winslet's third husband, the nephew of Virgin Group founder Richard Branson, was born Ned Abel Smith, but changed his name to Ned Rocknroll in 2008. (The Wire.com reports he made the change because he thinks people take themselves too seriously.)

Winslet stars with Josh Brolin in the new movie "Labor Day," based on a book by Joyce Maynard. She plays a single mom who takes in an escaped convict (Brolin), and says she couldn't have played the role without her own parenting experience.

"Ultimately, I was drawn to it because it's a film about the desire for a family — and family has played such a role in my life," Winslet told the magazine. "It's my core, really."
