Kat Von D and Jesse James put their relationship on display Thursday, holding hands and posing for photos together at the opening of her Wonderland gallery in West Hollywood.
And the "LA Ink" star, 28, doesn't care what anyone thinks (James, 41, finalized his divorce from Sandra Bullock this summer after he admitted to cheating on her).
"I think I learned a long time ago, even before the show, that it really doesn't matter in the big picture [what anyone thinks]," she told UsMagazine.com. "All that stuff isn't important. I want to lead by example and do my best."
Asked if she's happy, she said, "Yes."

She previously said that she first met James when she was 22 — when he had a program on the Discovery Channel — before things got romantic this summer.
"I think it was something that was spontaneous," she told Us. "It definitely wasn't planned."

She's been to his new home in Austin, Texas — where James' ex Bullock, 46, also owns a home — and has met his kids, Chandler, 15, Jesse Jr., 12, and Sunny, 6.
"Jesse took me to a really neat antique shop," Von D told Us. "So we went in and hung out. I got an old drawing, engraving Beethoven."
Asked if James was involved in her gallery, she said, "Yeah, were together. Duh."
