You'll never look at a women’s bathroom sign the same way again.

A new ad reimagines the traditional silhouette of that familiar ladies-only symbol, revealing that it was never a dress she was wearing at all — it was a superhero cape.

The revamped sign comes from the software developer Axosoft and is meant to “shift perceptions and assumptions about women,” according to a website for the company’s “It was never a dress” campaign.

It’s being praised this week after Twitter users spotted it at the Girls in Tech conference in Arizona, which Axosoft sponsors, and shared the images online.

Fans are applauding the company using the hashtag #ItWasNeverADress, calling the campaign “brilliant” and “game-changing.”

“In science, technology, arts, mathematics, politics, houses of worship, on the streets, and in our homes, insightful women are often uninvited, overlooked, or just plain dismissed,” Axosoft writes on the campaign website, urging supporters to “keep disrupting” in order to change the world’s perception of women.
