Being this season’s sentimental favorite on “American Idol” has its advantages. For instance, after learning about the tragic accident Chris Medina’s fiancée, Juliana Ramos, suffered and seeing his devotion to her in its wake, Medina’s fans are sure to phone in plenty of votes when the singer inevitably makes it to the finals. Until then, those fans have found another way to show their support.
According to TMZ, “Idol's” audience has sent in $27,000 in donations to help with Ramos’ mounting medical bills. The assistance hasn’t stopped there.
When a heating and air conditioning company learned the furnace wasn’t working in the home Medina shares with Ramos, they installed a $4000 unit free of charge. Medina hopes to one day return the favor by performing at King Heating and A/C after he’s finished with his “Idol” duties.
