"Project Runway" host Heidi Klum opened up about her divorce from Seal Wednesday when she sat down with Katie Couric for an interview on "Katie."
After the model's ex accused her of "fornicating with the help" before their split was finalized, Klum admits that things have been a bit strained between the two. "I don't know if we're like the greatest friends right now especially the things that he said. ... We're in an OK place," she said.
As for Seal's claim that she had moved on to another man before their divorce? "Obviously it's not true," she insisted. "I've never looked at another man while I was with him, and it's hard when you think that he thinks that." The model then noted that both she and her ex have moved on, which prompted the journalist to ask about rumors that Klum was dating her bodyguard Martin Kristen.
"Yes, I've known him for four years and he's been with our family for the last four years," Klum explained. "I trust him with my children's life. He's a great man, you know, and we just got to know each other from a completely different side."
The "Runway" host may be dating her protector, but she wouldn't go so far as to call it a relationship. At least not yet. "I don't even know if I can even call it (a relationship)," she told Couric. "I don't know, it just started ... I don't know where it's going to go."
Klum also pointed out that it's been tough dating again. "When you then start seeing somebody again for the first time, it's hard then when all of a sudden everyone is watching you," she explained. "It's almost like you can't even have a real, proper chance in a way."
