Two women stuck in style ruts got the Ambush Makeover treatment Thursday. Both walked away transformed, and they have hair wizard Louis Licari and style guru Jill Martin to thank.
First up, Sally Kennedy, who admitted that "her hair has a mind of its own." Sally knew her super-curly hair was holding her back, but that didn't stop her from feeling "very freaked" about her style transformation. Husband Dan, on the other hand, was excited to see his wife's new look.
Louis took out some of the length, and gave Sally a super chic bob — with options. "She can wear it curly or straight with the long layers," he advised.
As for the clothes — Jill put adorably petite Sally in a form-fitting knee length magenta dress. Can you say va-va-voom?
Dan's reaction? Let's just say he couldn't stop smiling.
Marilyn Heidenfelder was the second to be ambushed, and she admitted, said KLG, that "the last time she wore heels was in 1996."
"I wore my hair this way for a hundred years," Marilyn said of her shoulder-length locks. She was up for a new look, but "my boyfriend doesn't like short hair," she told Louis in advance. "Other than that, you're OK."
Marilyn's friend Barb definitely approved of her shorter-but-not-too-short locks and Maggy London wrap dress. And Marilyn? "Oh my gosh! OH MY GOSH!" she said as she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror. We think that means she liked it.
