Josh Gracin fans were alarmed on Thursday, Aug. 14, when the "American Idol" alum posted a cryptic, concerning message to his Facebook page. The post (since deleted) — in which he wrote, among other things, "pray for my family as they carry on in this world without me" — was interpreted by many to be a possible suicide note, and sparked a flurry of comments from worried pals.

TMZ reports that police responded to the singer's home in Tennessee, where they met his wife. Gracin himself was apparently not there, but according to the site, law enforcement pulled him over en route to the house and escorted him to the hospital.

Later on Thursday night, Gracin's manager took to Facebook and Twitter to let his followers know he was alive.
"Good evening, everyone. This is Josh's manager, Amy. First, thank you everyone for your prayers and concern," she wrote.
"Josh is safe and with his family now," she shared. "We ask that you please respect their privacy during this time and continue sending your well wishes. I promise to update you soon."
The country crooner originally rose to fame as a contestant on "American Idol's" second season back in 2003. He finished fourth but later signed with Lyric Street Records. In the years since, he has released three studio albums, including his self-titled debut and the more recent "Redemption."
