'That is icy, cold water!' Watch Dylan Dreyer get dunked in 'ice bucket challenge'
Temperatures outside may be scorching, but Dylan Dreyer had one chilly Friday afternoon.
The TODAY meteorologist took part in the "ice bucket challenge," a popular trend where people are filmed dumping a bucket of ice-cold water over themselves before challenging three friends to complete the same frigid task within 24 hours. If these people fail to do so, they have to donate $100 to charity.

The challenge picked up steam earlier this summer with even TODAY's Matt Lauer taking a chilly plunge on the plaza, and the viral sensation is still going strong. On Thursday, more than 200 Bostonians took the challenge in Boston's Copley Square to raise awareness and money for ALS, a neurodegenerative disease also referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease.
Dreyer's former colleague Jeremy Reiner extended the challenge to her and on Friday, with a bucket spilling over with icy, cold water, she followed through with the chilly dare.
On Saturday, she extended the challenge to Lester, Erica and Jenna, who followed through with the dare on the plaza soon after.
