Dustin Hoffman was recently treated for cancer and has been "surgically cured," a representative for the actor said Tuesday.

"Dustin is feeling great and is in good health," the actor's representative told E! News. People magazine was the first to report the story.

Hoffman will continue to undergo treatment to reduce the risk of the disease returning.

The representative would not say what kind of cancer was involved. Hoffman, 75, has won two best actor Oscars, one for 1979's "Kramer vs. Kramer" and one for 1988's "Rain Man." He was recently seen in the canceled HBO horse-racing series "Luck" and directed the 2012 film "Quartet."
