The Duchess of Cambridge showed off her star quality — and wardrobe — on Thursday during her latest jaunt in New Zealand, this time posing for personal photos snapped by acclaimed director Peter Jackson.

Duchess Kate smiled as the “Lord of the Rings” director took pictures with his cell phone during a tour he gave her and Prince William of an aviation center in New Zealand. The royal couple walked through an exhibit that featured numerous World War I artifacts and aircraft, including many from Jackson’s personal collection.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with their eighth month-old son, are in the first of a three-week tour of New Zealand and Australia. On Wednesday, the couple took Prince George on a playdate at Wellington's Government House, where he met with 10 other children his age.

But Prince George stayed with his nanny on Thursday while his parents headed to Blenheim to pay their respects to New Zealand's fallen soldiers. The duke and duchess laid a wreath during a service at the town's war memorial, and then later mingled with the thousands of well-wishers who had gathered to see them at the ceremony.

For both events, the duchess wore a coat dress by one of her favorite designers, Alexander McQueen, the brand behind Kate's wedding gown. The cornflower blue coat with peplum and pleat detailing — which sells for $3,875 on the designer's website — was the latest in a collection the fashion icon has displayed from her wardrobe. Kate wore a striking red Catherine Walker coat as she stepped off the plane from London earlier this week on her first day in New Zealand.

The duchess later changed into a Jenny Peckham dress for an unveiling of a new Queen Elizabeth portrait. During the ceremony, Prince William joked about life on the road with an infant.

“I swear I heard him doing the haka this morning,” he said, referring to the traditional Maori dance.
