Prince William and Duchess Kate have barely moved into their renovated palatial apartment yet they already have plans to throw a charity ball in their new home, Kensington Palace announced Thursday.

The Oct. 24 reception and dinner will benefit 100 Women in Hedge Funds, a non-profit organization that counts the duke and duchess, as well as Prince Harry, among its patrons.

Each ticket to the event will cost 300 British pounds, or about $478. The organization will donate proceeds from the event to Action of Addiction, which provides education programs and helps families through drug and alcohol prevention and treatment efforts. Duchess Kate is a patron of that group as well.

The charity gala will take place at Kensington Palace State Apartments, which recently underwent a massive renovation in preparation of the arrival of the duke and duchess, along with infant son, Prince George. Their new home boasts staff quarters and a private walled garden that reportedly cost taxpayers more than $2 million in renovations.

The royal family plan to make the palace their official residence. They spent the past several years living in Anglesey to be closer to Prince William’s military job. However, he recently stepped down from his post as a search and rescue pilot to take on more of his royal responsibilities.
