Watch this cashier stun customers with sensational singing voice

Dollar General cashier Lucas Holliday is showing the world he's got an amazing voice after a video of him singing Maxwell's "Ascension" went viral.

Lucas Holliday has a terrific name. But he's got an even more amazing singing voice.

Not that most folks walking through the Dollar General checkout line in Lansing, Michigan, would necessarily realize that. But fortunately, customer (and fan/friend) Sheree Nakia Robinson recently filmed him crooning beautifully to Maxwell's "Ascension" — and the resulting video has gone viral, racking up almost 600,000 views on Facebook since Nov. 8.

The song's popularity even reached Maxwell himself, who reposted the video on Facebook and wrote, "If anyone knows where this guy lives let me know and I wanna bring him on stage!!!"

Holliday must have some idea about his seriously soulful pipes, since he's in a band called Tell Yo Mama and is definitely not shy in front of the camera. Here's another video of him singing a Luther Vandross song, also posted by Robinson:
