Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson to be arraigned on domestic violence charge
Rapper 50 Cent is due in a Los Angeles court Monday to face arraignment on charges that include domestic violence and vandalism. If convicted, the rapper faces up to $46,000 in fines and up to five years in prison, The Associated Press reports.
The charges stem from a June 23rd incident in which 50 Cent allegedly attacked his ex-girlfriend and vandalized her Toluca Lake condo, causing an estimated $7,100 in damage.
The woman told police that the rapper ransacked the home and destroyed chandeliers inside her L.A. condo following an argument. She locked herself in a bedroom and said the rapper injured her when he kicked her after kicking open the bedroom door.
50 Cent denied the attack, but faces one count of domestic violence and four counts of vandalism. The former couple have one child together.
