• According to Telly Mix, we should know who will officially be on the judging panel for Simon Cowell's latest singing competition, "The X Factor." The caustic judge said at the launch of his ITV1 game show "Red or Black" that the lineup would have to be confirmed by the end of the week so that FOX could go ahead with filming the auditions, which are already in progress. Currently, only L.A. Reid has been confirmed, but former "Idol" judge Paula Abdul is rumored to be another person joining the panel. "X Factor" debuts this fall.

• A new version of “Wife Swap” is on the way, and instead of trading just any neat-freak wife for any messy wife, or a random “Balloon Boy” mom for ... well, whatever they swapped Balloon Boy’s mom with, the show is taking a star-studded twist. According to Deadline, ABC has ordered six episodes of “Celebrity Wife Swap." While there’s been no official casting announcement, Deadline reports that controversy-courting actress and ex-“Saturday Night Live” alum Victoria Jackson has hinted that she received an initiation to appear on the show.

• “Jersey Shore” fans who just can’t get enough of Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino, assuming they exist, are in luck. The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Sorrentino signed a development deal with MTV, which means the man behind the abs could soon have his own series. MTV already has two “Shore” spinoffs in the works — one featuring Paul “DJ Pauly D” Delvecchio and another focusing on Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenni “JWOWW” Farley.

• Things got heated during the taping of Tuesday night’s “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.” After Fallon and beloved guest Elmo enjoyed some friendly banter, the host accidently offended the furry red “Sesame Street” regular. “Elmo should have come to rehearsal,” Fallon pointed out when the muppet flubbed his lines. Elmo responded with a mock walkout and then banned Fallon from appearing on his classic kids’ show. This could get serious.
