Eat your hearts out, Vladimir Putin, Fabio and other manly men who have ridden horseback shirtless. There's a new Canadian Mountie in town, and his name is Justin Bieber.
Bieber was photographed Monday in Toluca Lake, Calif., riding first in a shirt, and then without. The heavily tattooed pop star even brought along his mounted posse.
On Instagram, Bieber shared a few images of the day's adventure. In one shot he asked, "Is that a young Indiana Jones?" and added the hashtags #skintightpants and #igottachill. We missed that Indy flick. Maybe those references were in "Temple of Ugh."
He also shared a point-of-view shot from atop what he called his "pure bred stallion." Tween girls raised on Disney movies and social media no doubt thought their shining prince was going to gallop right out of their iPhones.
But when it comes to men and beasts and the lack of excessive upper body garments (on the men), Russia's President Vladimir Putin sets the bar pretty high. His 2009 Siberian camping trip produced the memorable shirtless horseback riding photos Bieber no doubt emulates. We can only hope the Internet also gives us a collection of Bieber memes to match Putin on a bear, Putin on a shark, Putin on a bird, and of course, Putin on a kitten.
In the end, Bieber may still have more giddy in his up than ol' Vlad, because after dismounting on Monday it looked like the Biebs couldn't wait to get out of his pants, too.
Whoooooa, fella. Easy now.
