These beauties will have you drooling.
Fifty canine contestants competed in the 35th annual Beautiful Bulldog pageant, a slobberfest that takes place at Drake University’s campus in Des Moines, Iowa.
This year’s title went to Lucey, an 18-month-old pooch.
"She's is very docile, and she doesn't get really excited," her owner, Tiffany Torstenson, told The Associated Press. "Every room we go into, she's in that room. She likes to sleep in the bed, and hog the bed. And she loves cheese."
Torstenson, a breast surgeon, thinks Lucey will make a perfect therapy dog and will start training to become one, she told The AP.
The pageant held Monday originally began as an effort to find a dog to represent Drake’s mascot, the bulldog.
In addition to “most beautiful,” other awards include “farthest from the dog house,” “best dressed,” “congeniality,” and “Porterhouse people’s choice.”
It takes a lot of work to look this gorgeous!
