Google has a new interactive doodle up on its home page for Earth Day.

Let the doodle play for a while and you'll see a landscape that changes with the seasons. The scene begins with snow-capped green hills but moves on to a dry earth and dry-ish grass, and then back to bright green hills again.

While this circle of life is replayed over and over, again and again, the birds flap about in the sky, the ants emerge to explore and go back into their burrows, and the fish just keep swimming, just keep swimming.

You can mouse over the dandelion rows to blow them out, click on the clouds to start the rain and click on a cave or two to bring out the bears.

And more. In fact, there's so much going on in this seemingly peaceful doodle, Leon Hong and the Google Doodle team made a checklist so you don't miss a thing.
