March 15, 2013 at 9:27 AM ET

President Obama may be known as the White House basketball player, but former president Bill Clinton has become the First Fan.

The former president paid a surprise visit Thursday night to Louisville’s basketball team in their locker room following the group’s 74-55 win over Villanova.

Clinton had stopped by to say hello and congratulate players after their quarterfinals victory in the Big East tournament, played at Madison Square Garden.

Louisville forward Chane Behanan snapped numerous pictures of his playful teammates with Clinton and posted the pix on Instagram, where they quickly went viral. Among the photos that have been distributed was a group photo where Behanan is spotted giving Clinton bunny ears.
