Natalie Morales, Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker opened Monday's show for the first time in the renovated Studio 1A.
A dedicated team of nearly 200 people, at the direction of lead set designer Jeremy Conway, have made the revamped Studio 1A come to life after tirelessly working to meet a 30-day deadline.
From the updated anchor desk, which sits on a turntable that can spin 360 degrees, to roomier seating in the sofa area, 1A's first makeover in seven years is dazzling.
"I love it!" said Al Roker. "I think it's America's new living room."
Al is also a fan of the new LED touchscreens throughout the studio — which he got a chance to demo last week when he showed off his weather wall.
The renovation gets even more exciting with the brand new addition of the Orange Room, a space where broadcast meets digital — bringing fans even closer to the action — hosted by new TODAY family member, Carson Daly.
The anchors thanked the crew for their round-the-clock work the best way they know how: toasting them with mimosas on the plaza.
