AirAsia flight bound for Singapore disappears

An AirAsia plane with 162 passengers went missing Sunday while flying over the Java Sea. Flight QZ8501 departed from Surabaya, Indonesia, headed for Singapore, when the airline says that the pilots requested to climb to 38,000 feet to avoid clouds in the area. NBC’s Katy Tur reports.
