While the new ABC comedy may regularly bring on pangs of '80s nostalgia with its legwarmers and antique technology (think VCRs), these kids know that the joys of time spent with the family belong to every decade.

The sitcom sibs shared with TODAY their real-life Thanksgiving plans and memories – and made it clear that while their TV relatives may be pretty wacky, there’s no one better to be with than family over the holidays.

Hayley Orrantia – “Erica Goldberg”
What are you up to for Thanksgiving this year?
I'm going back home to Texas for Thanksgiving. My cousins, aunt and uncle are coming to town and I never get to see them. Plus my parents make the best Thanksgiving dinner. I'm so excited.

What’s the first dish you go for every year at Thanksgiving dinner?
Every year we have to have corn casserole and green bean casserole. It's my favorite dish for Thanksgiving. It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without it.

Any other favorite Thanksgiving memories?
My mom was making chocolate meringue pie and the vanilla extract was fermented. I don't think mom has made a single chocolate pie correctly for Thanksgiving to date.

Troy Gentile – “Barry Goldberg”
Are you going anywhere for Thanksgiving this year?
This year, I am really looking forward to seeing family I haven’t seen for a long time. They are traveling to Los Angeles for a vacation and they will celebrate Thanksgiving with us.

What’s your favorite Thanksgiving dish?
Homemade stuffing is my favorite thing about Thanksgiving. I wish people served it more than just once a year.

Do you have a favorite childhood memory from Thanksgiving?
I am originally from Florida. So Thanksgiving was always something I really looked forward to, because I got to travel back home every year and see everyone all at once, around one big happy table.

Sean Giambrone – “Adam Goldberg”
Are you doing anything special for Thanksgiving this year?
This year I'm spending Thanksgiving at my cousin's house and I get to meet my new baby cousin for the first time.

How about a favorite food?
Every year I crave my grandma's mashed potatoes and turkey gravy.

What are you most thankful for?
I am most thankful for my family and how they support me so much and the love they share with me.
