Move over Budweiser Clydesdales, office linebacker Terry Tate and little Darth Vader: TODAY has created its own Super Bowl commercial.
Borrowing a page from Coldplay's "A Sky Full of Stars'' video, the team took to the streets of New York City for an ad that will air during the Super Bowl on NBC as part of TODAY's "Rise to Shine" campaign. On Friday, we offered a behind-the-scenes look at the commercial, which was directed by Mat Whitecross, who also directed Coldplay's video.
"The idea really was, let's start off with our four anchors walking to work, and as they go along, the rest of the team start coming in one by one,'' Whitecross told TODAY.
