First Angry Birds came flocking onto your smartphone. Then Candy Crush came to sweeten your day. And now, watch out for Flappy Bird: It's just as fun and addicting as those other hit games, but the thing is, it's really freakin' hard.
The idea is simple: tap the screen to keep your bird in flight, avoiding sets of pipes. Each pair of pipes you fly through earns you one point. Many users never see double digits.
The game initially launched May 2013, but has spent the last three weeks at the top of the iTunes App Store.
Why is Flappy Bird suddenly flying so high? Most likely it's due to the slew of hilarious, rage-fueled YouTube videos and reviews in which players vent their frustration with the game's difficulty.
