Disney World may bring a smile to your face but soon you can't use a selfie stick to capture it.

Spokeswoman Kim Prunty said that after June 30 selfie sticks will no longer be allowed in Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and any other Disney-owned theme parks, water parks, or gaming attractions.

“Unfortunately selfie sticks have become a growing safety concern for both our Guests and Cast,” Prunty said.

Though the sticks had been allowed in the parks, they're currently banned on attractions. Rides have been temporarily shut down at times when guests ignored the "No Selfie Sticks" signs and verbal warnings.

This week a roller coaster at Disney California Adventure park was closed for an hour after a passenger brought a selfie stick onboard.

Following the ban, guests can check their sticks at the main gate or leave them elsewhere. Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland also start bans after July 1.
