One thing we know about Villlanova MBA grad Debbie: she loves cats. I mean, she really, really, really loves cats. And now, the whole world connected through social networking will know the love that dares to meow loudly over and over again, through her "eHarmony Video Bio."
But we have a feeling that "Debbie" is a character, and that Cara Hartmann, whose YouTube channel uploaded the viral vid, is pulling a fast one on all of us. (See her other video, on "Siamese" twins Cara and Kara.) And that's OK, because Debbie is HIGH-larious. We're not mad at her at all. The video is already blazing a fanbase amongst my Facebook friends and is sure to grab others' attention. (It has had more than 789,000 views since it was uploaded June 3.) Several comments under the video indicate how they're in on the joke, and hope to see her on SNL"! See how she bawls about felines and witness some comedic genius.
Some of the things I love about this: her little voice, her grasp of online dating's pitfalls and the overkill of emotion (which, sadly, could pass for real!). And the tears, the tears! For 2:32 minutes, she goes all in and gives us a scary and funny glimpse into a fanatical cat lover. Love her.
Oh, we know this is a perfect set-up for parodies, even though the video itself is probably a parody, too. Can't wait to see them come in!
