Sometimes life would be a lot easier if you could just quickly sort all your friends based on relationship status. You could avoid the married folks, send a quick "How ya doin'?" message to the singles and throw a huge bachelor's party for all the engaged fellas at once.

Sounds handy-dandy, right?

Well, a little Facebook app called RelationBook is the tool you'll need to give your romantic prowl a virtual laser sight like that.

All you have to do is head to the RelationBook site, authorize the app to access your Facebook account, and — ta da! Suddenly you can sort your friends based on gender and relationship status.

If the app incorporates information from friends' "looking for" profile fields in the future, then it'll be as useful as it can get without automatically chatting up guys and gals on your behalf.
