Parents, the tables have turned. YouTube has long been the go-to place for cute/embarrassing videos of kids, whether they're rocking out to Gotye or jamming to Queen. The newest YouTube sensation isn’t an adorable group of kids belting out Bohemian Rhapsody. No, this time it’s a dad’s dancing that has us all glued to our screens.
While the dad in question should earn cool points for taking his tweenish son to a concert (the video is said to have been shot at an electronic music concert), the calf-length blacks socks paired with shorts and, let’s face it, awkward dance moves, probably lose him all those cool points. Dad gets his groove on while his son patiently looks straight ahead. There are no death ray stares directed toward dad for being an embarrassment, no eye rolling, no running in the opposite direction, just a stoic acceptance of his old man’s style and moves.
Quite honestly, we’re not sure who we love more, the dad for putting himself out there like that and having fun (whether he’s hip or not), or his son for being so tolerant of his dad.
