Being a mom or dad is one of life's greatest joys. But early on weekend mornings? We're not always feeling the joy so much. In a series of Vine videos now going viral, one bleary-eyed dad captures the truth of Saturday mornings as a parent.

Tony Serafini, a 38-year-old dad from Leominster, Mass., spends Saturday mornings alone with his 4-year-old daughter after his wife and eldest daughter leave for dance class. He started shooting a series of videos showing the little girl rocking out to her favorite music in the background, while dad blearily waits for his caffeine to kick in.

"My daughter has her own playlist on Spotify with all the top pop hits, and a load of Frozen and Despicable Me songs,” Serafini told TODAY.com. "It started with me just catching her being cute behind me while I tried to enjoy my coffee and check emails.” Serafini noticed how popular the Vine videos were becoming, so he started shooting them every Saturday. Now, his Vine feed has more than 300,000 subscribers — and his YouTube compilation of the greatest hits over a three-month span has received more than a million views since he posted it on Friday.

In his own defense, Serafini says his annoyed face in the videos is just for fun, and he actually loves his Saturday morning time with his daughter — loud music and all. "I make the grumpy face as a joke, of course — she doesn't bother me like the videos suggest,” he told TODAY.com. "I just tried to channel the tired parent in all of us!”

Some YouTube commenters missed the joke in dad’s delivery. "Perhaps you could play with her? Otherwise why have them?” one said. Another wrote, "All I see is a kid who could use some attention from her dad.”

Others seemed to appreciate how the short videos nail that moment of parenthood — and weighed in to say how much they could relate. One wrote, "You're a great dad! This is hilarious. Reminds me so much of my life."

So what does Serafini's daughter think of her viral fame? "She loves [the videos], and always wants to watch them after, over and over,” he says.
