Cute alert! Meet TODAY's babies of the week
Feb. 1, 2013 at 10:01 AM ET
TODAY is celebrating new moms everywhere, and what better way to do that than with photos of your adorable kiddos?
We asked parents to send us photos of babies aged 0-8 weeks, and oh boy did you respond! We got thousands of submissions -- honestly, all of them are gorgeous and you all deserve to be featured! (Every mother knows her baby is the most beautiful.) But, we had to pick somehow. Here are the very first "babies of the week"... and scroll down for more wonderful little faces.
Have you recently had a baby? You can submit a photo of your child, age 0-8 weeks, to be featured on a future show and online, by clicking the "Add photos" link below. (Read the official rules here.)
Courtesy Dionna and Mark Widder
Fraternal twins Wells and Ellis Widder were born Dec. 14 in Michigan. Parents Dionna and Mark say, "The moment they placed them in our arms for the first time, we were overwhelmed with love and never felt more blessed."
Deric and Jennifer Spurgeon
Born Dec. 13 in Tennessee, Eily Ruth Spurgeon is the youngest of three. Her parents report that watching older brother Ian, 7, and big sister Mia, 5, interact with their new baby sister has been awesome!
Aimée Dale-Lucius and Lex Lucius
Vivienne Grey Lucious was born Dec. 30, two years to the day after her mother, Aimée Dale-Lucius, suffered a miscarriage. "Everything about Vivi is special!" writes Aimée, from Santa Fe, N.M. "The most magnificent moment I've experienced in parenthood is the moment you see your child for the first time."
Donna & Willie Curry
Donna and Willie Curry of Henderson, Ky., say son Obadiah's name was inspired by the shortest book of the Bible, and it means "worshipper of God." Obadiah Otho Curry was born Nov. 29, and his mom says that breast-feeding was tough at first, but "we both stuck with it and it's a great bond now!"
Check out more beautiful babies below. We received thousands of submissions, so these are just a sampling. Thank you to everyone who sent in photos. Remember, every baby is beautiful!
