After infertility, cancer, Giuliana Rancic writes about falling in love with her 'dream baby'

It is so unbelievable to actually be writing about what it feels like to be a new mom and to have an incredible little one in my life now. My journey to motherhood has been a long and strenuous one, but I always knew that it would be more than worth it and so far it is everything I dreamed it would be and more.

It is so true what they say. Your entire life changes the moment you lay eyes on your new baby. The moment I looked into Duke's eyes for the first time, I fell in love and realized that nothing else in the world matters. Bill and I could not be happier or more enamored with him!

So far, Duke has been a dream baby. We came home to Chicago about three days after he was born and we are so happy here. We've had so many friends and family around us and they can't get enough of Duke. It has been so great to be near our loved ones during this time. We go crazy for every new face and sound he makes, but we still can't agree on who he resembles more (I still say he looks like me!).

I wasn't sure how I would handle changing my sleeping patterns and getting up in the middle of the night, but now that I've experienced it for a few weeks, I can tell you that I wouldn't change it for the world. We are on a pretty regular feeding schedule, usually about every four hours. I swear to you that Bill and I literally fight over who will be the one to get up with him in the middle of the night. We both just want to be with him all the time and not miss anything! And I have to say, I love seeing Bill and Duke together. After Duke's morning feeding, Bill puts him on his stomach (with Duke face up) and they take a little nap together. It is the sweetest thing to witness.

It has been the best few weeks of my life and I cannot wait for what the future holds. For now, we are savoring every moment.
