A new study suggests that tearjerker movies actually inspire warm, fuzzy feelings. Kathie Lee and Hoda decided to test the theory by watching a couple of clips from the saddest movies they could think of.
A few were legitimate downers (like the end of "Terms of Endearment"), although most of them just gave Kathie Lee a sincere case of the giggles. And, okay, some of them are pretty funny (the random horse running through a scene in "Beaches"? What was that?)
While KLG laughed at Barbara Streisand's "Funny Girl" anguish, Hoda slurped at a smoothie because, she claimed, weepy dramas make her hungry. Well, we all react to tragedy in different ways.
