Before comedian Whitney Cummings dropped by to see the ladies Monday, she tweeted: "Doing Kathie Lee and Hoda this morning. Doing Betty Ford tomorrow morning."
And she didn't disappoint. She and KLG are both known for their famous shyness, but they must have emboldened one another, because the talk got a little saucy.
The demure young Cummings explained that some of the plot lines on her eponymous sitcom, "Whitney," come from real life. Like, for instance, an unfortunate incident in which a writer for the show was crying and her boyfriend became (ahem) aroused.
"And I'm like, 'We're doing a show about that,'" Whitney said.
"If I had a dollar for every time…" said KLG.
This, of course, let to an unfortunate slip of the tongue. "I almost said we have a 'boner' to pick with you," KLG said later in the interview.
At least Hoda was well-behaved.
