Kathie Lee and Hoda Mat be away (temporarily!) during the Olympics, but courtesy of the KLGH blog, you can still stay up to day on the type of topics they chat about … minus the Kathie Lee and Hoda.
The ladies are huge fans of Spanx, but there may be such a thing as taking slimming undies too far: like, for instance, the "cosset" swimsuit that takes women an average of half an hour to get on.
Writing a piece on pinchy Olympic swimwear, the U.K. Daily Mail's Liz Jones squeezed into the Speedo Fastskin3 Super Elite in less than record time -- 35 minutes. The suits are meant to reduce drag on competitive swimmers, and the slimming effect is just an added bonus. Although, Jones admits, "The results are amazing, like a super expensive pair of Spanx."
Super expensive is right: the suit retails for 330 British pounds -- around $517 American.
But it's probably just as well: The only thing most of us will wait 30 minutes for is to get into the Outback Steakhouse on a busy night.
